Best and Worst Dressed at the 2011 Grammy Awards

When it comes to the Grammy Awards, it is best to expect the unexpected. From red carpet fashion statements to mind blowing performances, anything can happen at the Grammy Awards. Check out the stars who got fashionably funky on music's biggest nights!

 BEST

Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian channeled Beyonce in a plunging Kaufman Franco gown. With her signature long raven locks and a heavenly bronzed glow, Kimmie's sexy curves didn’t disappoint!

Lady Gaga
While the Grammy red carpet has seen its fare share of crazy costumes, nothing can top Lady Gaga’s over-the-top arrival in an incubated womb! Hoisted overhead by models, the “Born this Way” singer stayed concealed until her much anticipated performance.

Jennifer Hudson
The singer wore a Versace Pre-Fall 2010 navy blue dress. Her dress with a rise and fall hemline has embellished details shows off that now tiny waist.Sleek brunette locks and Christian Louboutin strappy sandals completed her look.Silver sandals would’ve been preferred.

 Selena Gomez
Disney darling Selena Gomez is definitely all grown up! The actress shines in an elegant, metallic J. Mendel gown. "It's gold, and I feel like an award," she said on the red carpet. "So that's why I picked it. "

Eva LongoriaEva Longoria left the long gowns to the musicians and opted for a ruffled cocktail dress complete with a fluffy bodice. Leaving the volume for her dress, she pulled her brunette tresses back in a sleek ponytail.

Nicole Kidman
Nicole Kidman joined her husband Keith Urban on the red carpet in a Jean Paul Gaultier floral gown. Teamed with her ravishing red locks, the strapless gown was the perfect choice!

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi
Adding soft curls to her signature poof, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi was ultra-glam in a sequined power shoulder cocktail dress. Perfectly paired with sparkling ankle-strap heels, the Jersey Shore cast member looked rockin'!

Kelly Osbourne
Even while tending to her red carpet hosting duties, Kelly Osbourne still managed to look perfectly poised. Teamed with sparkling pumps and sleek shoulder-length locks, Kelly was a knockout in her frothy Tadashi Shoji one-shoulder dress.

Rihanna
I did love her Jean Paul Gaultier Couture look.Rihanna is always unpredictable which is what I love about her.Sometimes it can go horribly wrong, but the risk paid off on this occasion. She looks young, fresh and perfectly dressed for Grammy night.I’m glad the red hair wasn’t as wild as it has been in recent weeks. The dress was right the main focus.Nude Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle Plato’ heels completed her look.

Jennifer Lopez
Anyone hoping to be that main diva at tonights 2011 Grammy Awards lost all hope when they saw Jennifer Lopez hit the red carpet. The American Idol judge looked amazing wearing a fully embellished long sleeved Emilio Pucci dress. The mini dress was teamed with matching clutch and Christian Louboutin ‘Very Mix’ spiked heels.High octane glamour as we expect from Jlo.

 WORST
Ciara
The singer flaunted her body on the red carpet wearing an Emilio Pucci Spring 2011 blue and white printed halter dress with cut out details and a thigh-high split.I’m not particularly crazy about this dress as Ciara appeared to be trying just a little bit too hard. The dress is beautiful, but Ciara shoe choice really lets her down.

Katy Perry
Katy Perry always brings her wild style to the red carpet, but this look crosses the costume line. The singer (whose Teenage Dream is nominated for album of the year) rocks a sparkly bra with a plastic-wrap skirt -- and the giant angel wings add the final bizarre touch to this puzzling ensemble.

Miley Cyrus
This time, it's Miley Cyrus' fashion that can't be tamed! The metallic tiger print, the oversized wrist cuffs and the misplaced fringe all add up to a too-busy look for the presenter. Plus, the glimpses of side cleavage aren't helping the teen star's image.

Hayley Williams
We appreciate that Paramore singer Hayley Williams (whose band is up for best pop performance by a duo or group for "The Only Exception") has her own unique sense of style -- and we love that she's bringing a little color to the carpet. But we could have done without the clear view of her belly button!

Nicki Minaj
Meow! Nicki Minaj, a nominee for best rap performance by a duo or group for "My Chick Bad" with Ludacris, takes the animal-print trend a little too far. The look left us speechless, but the singer had plenty to say about it to Ryan Seacrest: "It's lioness meets her cub, meets fierce-osity, meets fabulosity, meets fashionista, meets runway, meets everything, darling." Maybe if she had stuck to just one of those, the result would've been better!
